Ismail Mahomed Ayob LLB (London) Barrister at Law (Grays Inn, London), H Dip Tax, H Dip Co Law (Wits). Founded the firm in 1972 and represented numerous famous clients and opponents of the South African Apartheid regime, including Nelson Mandela, Winnie Mandela, Popo Molefe. He has been a Director of both listed and prominent South African companies and was elected Chairman of the Gauteng Law Council for many years. He has also served as a Council member of both the Law Society of South Africa and the Law Society of the Transvaal (which has now become the Legal Practice Council).

He was also appointed as an Acting Judge of the High Court of South Africa. He acted as chairman of the Presidents Award for Youth Development for a lengthy period and is currently also a life member of the Duke of Edinburgh Award International Association.

Zayd Ismail Ayob B Proc, LLB (RAU), LLM (London) (with a focus on International Environmental Law, International and Comparative Law of Copyright and related rights, Banking Law and International Trade Law), MBA (GIBS) (with a dissertation on the provision of Islamic Finance to Rural Areas in South Africa), PG Dip in Tax Law (Wits), Solicitor (England and Wales), Environmental Law, Intellectual Property Law (Cert) (Wits), Advanced Programme in Insolvency Litigation and Administration Practice (UP). He is currently a Young Fellow of the Duke of Edinburgh International Association. He has a strong interest in dynamic markets, particularly in understanding how law assists growth.
